Chan’s Trailblazing Journey in Fintech Investment
Hayley Chan's recent focus has been in the fintech sector, leveraging her extensive software, healthcare, and Chinese equities experience. Her unique contribution lies in offering a public investor perspective to private company founders, a skill honed through her diverse experience in early-stage ventures, late-stage ventures, growth equity, buyouts, and various public market strategies (including long-only and long/short investments). Chan is exceptionally talented at understanding valuation drivers and stock trade dynamics. Her diverse background enables her to provide insightful guidance on valuation drivers and stock trading behavior, which is crucial for navigating the complex investment landscape.
Chan began her finance career at Morgan Stanley, advising a broad spectrum of media and telecom clients on potential mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, IPOs, return of capital initiatives and capital structure considerations. Notably, she played a role in the sale of Optasite, the fifth largest tower company, to SBA Communications, as well as the merger of Sirius Satellite Radio with XM Satellite Radio.

Hayley Chan earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Master of Science in the same field from MIT. She further advanced her education by obtaining an MBA. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
